Built by a Home Assistant user, for Home Assistant users.

Sense360 started with a simple frustration: why is it so hard to get proper sensors installed in a smart home? USB cables everywhere. No PoE options. All-in-one devices with half the sensors you need and twice the ones you don't.

So I built something better.

From side project to product

I'm Neil. I run Sense360 from the UK.

Like most Home Assistant users, I started with off-the-shelf sensors. They worked, mostly. But when I tried to do a proper install — ceiling-mounted presence sensors, wired power, room-by-room air quality — nothing fit the bill.

Commercial sensors were either USB-only, cloud-dependent, or locked into ecosystems I didn't trust. DIY options meant hours of soldering and debugging YAML.

I wanted something in between: professional-grade hardware that runs ESPHome out of the box. Modular, so I could add sensors over time. PoE-powered, so installation was clean. And fully open, so I could tweak anything I needed.

Sense360 is that platform.
